Liam at 3 Months – Elkton Infant Child Photographer

This past weekend, little Liam came back with his Mom for his 3 month portraits. You may remember him from his newborn session. This time, instead of going to their home in Elkton, Liam and his Mom came to our studio in Aberdeen. We have a few more options for portrait setups and backdrops while working in the studio. Liam is participating in a new program we are developing called the “Small Wonder” sessions. These sessions will document and preserve the special moments in Liam’s first year. Mom brought a few different outfits, which is always a great idea. We started off in a white polo on a white background and then added a little color with a red and white striped polo onesie.

Liam has grown so much since I saw him after he was born. He’s holding his own head up, getting control of his arms and legs, and learned that he really likes to suck his thumb/hand. Liam also loves to smile which made my job even easier!

When we put Liam down for some belly shots, he just loved how close his hands were to his mouth and would put them in his mouth looking for his thumb. Sometimes, it seemed as if he had his whole hand in his mouth. We would pull them out real quick for a photo and then let him get back to them.

Mom is a stay at home Mom so she spends a lot of time with her little man and they have a really strong connection. I wanted to capture this connection with some shots of the two of them together. Mom was more than happy to oblige me so we setup the new backdrop that Steph made and laid down a very soft carpet for the two of them to get close on. Then we stripped little Liam down and he just loved the feeling of the carpet on his bare body. He kept rolling to his belly and nuzzling with the carpet.

Just for fun, we got a new teddy bear outfit in and I thought it would be cute to have Liam with a crowd of teddy bears. Liam, however, wasn’t as keen on the idea and didn’t like being in the outfit after he was just enjoying his time naked on the floor. I got a few quick shots and then we let Liam get comfortable again and closed the session.
