We were very pleased to be able to photograph these three handsome guys on October 11. Please meet Sammie, Marek, and Austin…

This was a very special session for this family, Grandma (or Ya-Ya as she is affectionately known by her grandsons) and her three children, and the three boys, were all present for this session. Marek and his Mommy were visiting from Japan, where they live, and the family wanted to use the visit as an opportunity to capture these boys playing together and enjoying each others company. The family knew that they wanted an outdoor session, so we met them at the beautiful Annie’s Playground in Fallston. It made the perfect setting and backdrop for a playful and completely enjoyable photo session.
Austin, 6 years old, was a perfect model and a total ham for the camera. He came prepared with his own poses and a willing attitude. He was so helpful in getting his little cousins to go along with our ideas and had a good time running around the playground looking for new places to pose!

The next oldest grandson is little Marek, he is 16 months old and traveled with his mom all the way from Japan for this session…well for a family wedding, but still!

And the youngest grandson is Sammie. This little guy made some of the cutest faces! He was a little too young to take part in all of the playing, since he’s only 11 months old, but I still think he enjoyed the fresh air and the little bit of playing he was able to do.

These three little guys were a lot of fun. They each had so much personality and were all so different! This is a beautiful family and we were very happy to be able to capture a few sweet moments between Ya-Ya and her grandboys!

Here are a few of the art pieces that we created for this wonderful family.

Coleen – Sparrows Point Senior Portrait Photographer

We had the distinct pleasure of photographing this beautiful young lady for her Senior Portraits a few weeks ago.

Meet coleen, our first client for Senior Portraits. This was Coleen’s first time in the studio and we had a great time with her. First of all, the camera just loved her! She is gorgeous and we both felt so honored to have her in the studio and to be able to photograph her during this very special time in her life.

For the first part of coleen’s session, we headed outdoors to nearby Havre de Grace so we could photograph coleen near the water. These photos turned out even better than we could have imagined and it was a nice way for coleen to get comfortable and warm up to posing for the camera before we headed into the studio.

After we wrapped up outdoors, we headed back to the studio to finish out the session. coleen is a long-time dancer and, of course, wanted to highlight that in her Senior session. Around here, we are always impressed with people who can toe dance, so it was a special treat for us when coleen pulled out her toe shoes.

coleen is also an avid field hockey player and we wanted to showcase that in her session as well. It is so important to highlight all of the different aspects of a teenager’s life and our studio session provided us plenty of time to do this with coleen.

I love coleen’s “game face” in this one!

This is one girl who is on the ball! coleen has already bought her prom dress and we were lucky enough to be able to photograph her in this beautiful dress that Mom said she knew right away was “the perfect dress!” We were doubly excited because we knew we would get to use our new backdrop for her formal dress pictures. The combination turned out wonderful!

All in all, it was a very successful first Senior Portrait session for us. For coleen, we were able to capture many of the dynamic areas of her life that make her the wonderful young lady that she is. Hopefully, we were able to create images that will help her remember this fun and special time in her life. coleen, good luck in all your future endeavors!
